Programs and Activities National Chemistry Week
National Chemistry Week (NCW) is a community-based annual event coordinated by the CIC. It involves a
Canada-wide network of volunteers from CIC local sections, industry, all levels of educational institutions
and individuals interested in chemistry. These volunteers organize public lectures, laboratory visits,
hands-on experiments at shopping malls, science centres and museums, and science walks, to allow everyone to
experience the wonders of chemistry and discover the importance and impact of chemistry in our everyday life.
The 2011 edition of NCW takes place October 15-22 and will be more exciting than ever in celebration of IYC
2011. As the programs develop, information about 2011 edition of the CIC National Chemistry Week will be made available.
